2020 Leap Day Pickleball Tournament for The Verdes Charity Round Up

Location:  Trilogy at Verde River

Dates:  Saturday, Feb. 29th & Sunday, Mar. 1st

This tournament will be a Round Robin Tournament for Women's, Men's, and Mixed Doubles

participants in two skill levels (2.5-3 and 3-3.5).


ELIGIBILITY: At least one player must reside within The Verdes communities of Rio Verde, Tonto Verde,

Trilogy Verde River and the Rio Verde Foothills.


REGISTRATION: Register below by February 15th and purchase tickets

through https://one.bidpal.net/tvcr.  You must sign up using both links.  Players can participate

in either Women's or Men's and Mixed Doubles.  Indicate your interest on the registration form. 

Each player must register – be sure to note your partner for each event in the field provided.

A minimum registration fee of $25 per individual is required and includes unlimited involvement in

all tennis and pickleball events.  Entry fee payment and further donations are through the Bidpal link after you have registered.  No refunds  The charities thank you in advance!


Registration will close when a maximum of 8 teams have registered.  First come, first serve.

SEATING: Bring your own folding chair or blanket to sit on. Seats may be available for a small fee.

VIP seating will be available for donations over $200.

Don’t forget your sunscreen, hat, water bottle, and any other personal needs on the days of play.

DAY OF THE TOURNAMENT:  Check-in each day at the registration table starting at 9:00 am.

Brackets will be assigned by the Pickleball Tournament Director Barry DeHoney.  Warm-up after

check-in until the Rules meeting at 9:45.  Play to begin at 10:00.


TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Round Robin play, each game is played to 11, win by 1 point.  Winner

of the coin toss will choose a side or first serve, loser decides which side if the winner chooses to serve.  Complete rules of play announced at 9:45 before play begins.

Please complete your registration by purchasing an event ticket below.

Billing for any tickets, auction items purchased or Fund the Need donations made will appear on your respective Trilogy, Rio Verde or Tonto Verde Home Owners Association statement by March 31st.  A receipt for all TVCR purchases will be emailed to you from the TVCR by March 15th.
